Biography
Where music became identity
Lilia continues to explore, refine, and grow — always through the language of music. What began as childhood curiosity evolved into a lifelong journey across concert halls, conservatories, and ensembles. Every step — from intense academic study to stage performance — has shaped her into the artist she is today: thoughtful, precise, and deeply connected to her craft. This timeline offers a glimpse into that journey — not as a finished story, but as a living process still in motion.
Musical Roots
Born into a family of musicians in Voronezh (former USSR), Lilia’s life was steeped in music from the very beginning. With a pianist mother and a flutist sister, the violin found her hands at the age of five. Guided by their support and her own devotion, she was admitted at fourteen to the prestigious Central Music School under the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory (ЦССМШ, class of I. Iordanova) — a turning point that shaped her artistic path.

She went on to earn both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees under the mentorship of Alexander Trostyansky at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, further refining her craft. In 2008, following her graduation, Lilia moved to Finland to continue her studies with Alexander Vinnitsky at Turun Ammattikorkeakoulu in Turku — bringing her ever closer to the sound she now calls her own.
European Formation
Between 2009 and 2015, Lilia deepened her musical language in Switzerland, studying with Sergey Ostrovsky at HEM-Genève, Gyula Stuller and Pierre Amoyal at HEMU-Lausanne, and Barbara Doll at HKB-Bern. These years became a significant chapter in her ongoing artistic evolution — a period of growth that continues to resonate in her playing today.
Stages & Mastery
Alongside her formal studies, Lilia took part in numerous masterclasses and performed with a wide range of orchestras across Europe, including the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Berner Sinfonieorchester, Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, Orchestre de Chambre de Genève, Tampere Filharmonia, Orquesta de la Comunitat Valenciana, Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, Sinfonietta de Lausanne, and many others. Since 2025, she has also performed with the Berner Sinfonieorchester as a trusted replacement player, further expanding her orchestral presence. From 2016 to 2021, she shared her experience and vision as a violin professor at the Académie de musique de Genève — balancing performance and pedagogy as two sides of one artistic voice.
Within the Ensemble
Since 2015, Lilia has been a founding member of the KLAN String Quartet — a Zurich-based ensemble where musical dialogue, precision, and shared vision come together in chamber form.
Present & Beyond
Today, Lilia holds a permanent position with the Orchestre Symphonique Bienne Soleure and regularly performs as a soloist with the Gaia Chamber Orchestra in Rotkreuz (Canton Zug), where she serves as Concertmaster. Alongside her orchestral career, she remains deeply engaged in chamber music — weaving intimacy, precision, and emotional depth into every performance. Whether leading an ensemble or standing alone on stage, Lilia’s artistry speaks in a voice that resonates beyond the concert hall.
On Stage & Beyond
The stage as a realm — each moment a story.
Practice, focus — where music begins
Music is where inspiration begins — and where discipline takes root. It demands focus, patience, and daily commitment, yet offers something deeply rewarding in return. Every note shaped with care becomes part of a greater whole, and the process itself is as meaningful as the result. Performing with others adds a layer of connection — trust, attentiveness, and mutual respect. For me, music is not only sound, but a space of growth, dialogue, and beauty built together.
